• Played football (Receiver) at Harding University
• Eighth receiver in the history of college football to have over 200 receptions
• Rookie with the Pittsburg Steelers in 1972
• Coached 14 years on the college level
• Coached 24 years on the high school level
• Involved with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes for most of coaching career
• Father of 3 married children
• Proud grandfather "Buddy" to 8 grandchildren
• He and his wife of 4 years, Phyllis, reside in Franklin, Tennessee
